Valley’s ties to Patrick Cappiello of Monte Rio Cellars span many moons. Patrick and Valley co-owners Tanner Walle and Lauren Feldman once ran parallel hustles in Manhattan’s hospitality scene, a symbiotic come-up that makes this long-awaited reunion all the more meaningful. We are thusly thrilled to welcome Patrick to Valley for a special winemaker takeover!

Since heading west in 2017, Patrick has brought his award-winning pedigree to California, launching Monte Rio Cellars under the mentorship of award-winning winemaker Pax Mahle (of Pax Wines). His focus on heritage California varieties has sparked a fresh and thoughtful conversation in our collective psyche—one that resonates deeply with us.
