When Jen and Nick Demarest from Harvest Moon Café were looking to move on from their historic adobe on the Sonoma Square in order to embark on their new dream in Boyes Hot Springs, they wanted a community partner to pass their torch to. The four local Sonomans behind Valley - Lauren Feldman, Emma Lipp, Stephanie Reagor and Tanner Walle – are grateful for the opportunity.
Valley will continue as a neighborhood establishment that simultaneously reveres and revitalizes Sonoma cuisine and hospitality. Launching as a dinnertime restaurant, Valley will gradually incorporate daytime services.
Lauren and Tanner will manage the small Front of House team, while Emma and Stephanie will helm the Back of House. The beverage program will include local producers as well as imports, with an emphasis paid to organic & biodynamic agriculture practices. The food menu will be driven by the availability of seasonal produce and the offerings of local purveyors, and influenced by our travels and personal history.
Valley aims for a sustainable approach to all aspects of its business, from waste-reducing and eliminating practices to a radical intentionality behind the economy and environment we will create for our employees. As Sonoma locals, we’re looking for creative ways to support and promote our community. We are dedicated to making sure those that work alongside us are able to live fully in the place they serve.
