We are THRILLED to be a part of the iconic Oakland-based shop Umami Mart’s launch tour of their first book: Everyday Sake. Founders and authors Yoko Kumano and Yayoko Akabori will be signing books for purchase and pouring sakes they have selected to pair with our summertime Valley menu. Because that’s what this book is all about! How to think about and enjoy sake just as you would wine, learning how opening a sake bottle with friends can be an everyday occurrence, not an intimidation. Come taste how Yoko and Yayoko’s sake selections complement the seasonal ingredients we have at Valley AND that you have growing in your home garden or can buy from the farmer’s market.
